2025-07 - Board Elections

The third African IXP Association Board of Directors took office on Monday, August 18th, 2025 at the third Annual General Meeting of the association which took place on the same day in Lagos, Nigeria.

Three candidates were nominated for three available seats. Voting took place from July 7 to July 20 with 16 of 22 eligible IXPs participating.

The election was conducted using the Zeus Electronic Voting system with support and oversight from members of the global Internet community including the Latin American and Caribbean Internet Exchange Association and the Internet Society who acted as election trustees.

The elected members are as follows:

• Jean-Francis Ahanda (re-elected)
• Caglar Dabanoglu
• Esther King

Each has been elected to a three year term. The official results from the Zeus voting system are attached for reference.
