The African IXP Association (AFIX) is a group of Internet exchange point (IXP) operators from across Africa, brought together by a shared need to coordinate and exchange knowledge. IXPs are core Internet infrastructure services that facilitate large-scale network interconnection and traffic exchange, thereby creating a source of fast, local, cost-effective bandwidth.
